At Feet First Cardiff, I take your privacy seriously and I am committed to protecting any personal information you share and ensure it is kept strictly confidential. As a registered member of the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO), all personal data is collected, handled, and stored in accordance with the UK General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

Personal information is gathered during your initial consultation either in person in clinic or via the Cliniko email booking system upon registration as a new patient. All personal and medical information is updated regularly as required. This information forms part of your medical record and is used solely for the purpose of providing appropriate and effective podiatric care. It also ensures compliance with professional and legal requirements set by regulatory bodies, including the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC), the Royal College of Podiatry, and the ICO.

Your electronic clinical records are stored securely via the Cliniko database and is password protected and accessible only by me, Lisa Rapps and designated healthcare admin support staff as required. Your personal data will never be shared with third parties without your consent, except in situations where a referral to another healthcare professional, such as a GP, is required for your healthcare. If you provide details on behalf of someone else, you confirm that you have their permission to do so.

Records are retained for eight years after your last appointment if you are an adult. For those under 18, records are held until the age of 25. After the retention period, all documentation is securely destroyed.
